Terry Gregoire

Area Extension Specialist/Cropping Systems
NDSU Extension Service

Terry joined the Extension Service as an assistant county agent in 1972, then served as agent in Emmons County. He assumed his present position as an area cropping systems specialist at Devils Lake in 1978. He has been the point person in northeastern North Dakota on many key crop production problems, such as wheat and barley scab, the orange wheat blossom midge and white mold. He has worked to help find solutions, do field scouting, and get the word out to agents and producers. Terry has also taken a role in applied research, arranging on_farm trials to find answers to problems. He was a leader in developing the ProCrop computer software program and the key individual responsible for development and growth of the Lake Region Roundup, a two_day program of educational events and an agricultural trade show. The roundup just celebrated its 20th year. Terry is often called on to teach about weed control, crop production and pest management outside of his northeast area, such as at the crop scout schools in Fargo and Dickinson.
