Herbicide to Planting Interval for Winter Wheat

Fall field bindweed, Canada Thistle or other perennial programs for fields to be seeded to winter wheat require awareness of application to planting intervals to avoid risk of crop damage from soil residue

Dicamba (Banvel) Allow 45 days per pint (.5 lb act) of product before planting winter wheat.
Glyphosate (Roundup) Delay not required for crop safety; allow 7 days between spraying and tillage for maximum effectiveness.
Glyphosate + 2,4-D (Landmaster II) Delay not required. Any risk would be from 2,4-D if high rates used at planting.
Clopyralid + 2,4-D (Curtail) Delay planting for 20 days after application.
2,4-D Interval not specified. A 10-14 day delay is suggested to reduce the risk that is present under certain conditions.
Glyphosate + Dicamba Delay planting 15 days after (Fallowmaster) application.
Picloram+ 2,4-D Follow label guidelines. Delay (Tordon) planting fro 45 days for Tordon rates up to .5 pt/A; allow 60 day interval for Tordon rates over .5 pt/A.
