Plant Pathology Student Organization
The Plant Pathology Student Organization (NDSU-PPSO) was established in 1998/99 by Dr. Timothy L Friesen and the then graduate students. PPSO was formally registered with the Congress of Student Organizations (CSO) at NDSU in 2006 and is now a full status registered organization.
The purpose of PPSO is to provide opportunities for professional growth through communication between students, faculty and administration. PPSO also strives to encourage understanding of plant pathology within the community. The organization is active in departmental social events and provides valuable assistance in welcoming new graduate students. PPSO organizes different activities through the year such as fundraisers, volunteer services, student field trips and also arranges partial travel funds for students to attend scientific meetings e.g. American Phytopathological Society (North Central and Central Division) etc.
