Andrew is a native of Hankinson, North Dakota.  He obtained his undergraduate degree from NDSU in Crop and Weed Science.  In June of 2009, he enrolled in the PhD. program within the Plant Pathology Department. His current work emphasizes on the management of sunflower rust.

Susilo Hambeg Poromarto

Susilo is originally from Indonesia and working on his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Berlin Nelson on Soybean Cyst Nematode.  He received his BS degree in Bogor Agricultural University (1985), Indonesia, and MS degree in Plant Pathology in North Dakota State University (1997), USA.

Krishna D. Puri

PhD Student

Puri is a native of Ayodhyapuri-6, Chitwan, Nepal. He joined the Department of Plant Pathology at North Dakota State University as a PhD student in May 2008 and is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Shaobin Zhong. His research projects include Fusarium Head Blight of Wheat for host resistance and pathogen biology. He completed his master’s degree (MS) from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Tribhuvan University, Nepal, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sundar Man Shrestha in 2006 with research entitled “Resistance and susceptible interaction of different rice lines against leaf and neck blast (Pyricularia grisea sacc.)”. Currently he is the president of Plant Pathology Graduate Students Organization.

Kurt Rudolph

PhD Student

Major advisor(s): Dr. Berlin Nelson and Dr. Melvin Bolton

Kurt graduated from NDSU in December 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology.  He started his M.S. in January 2010; he is working with Soybean Cyst Nematodes and their interactions with Sugar Beets.
