Harvest Bowl Honorees
2010 Harvest Bowl Honorees recognized
October 22, Rodney and Carol Hickle were recognized as Oliver County Harvest Bowl honorees during the NDSU Harvest Bowl. The NDSU Harvest Bowl program recognizes the success, dedication and hard work of outstanding agriculturists in 53 counties in North Dakota and several in Minnesota. Highlights of the event included a Harvest Bowl dinner and awards ceremony and attending the Harvest Bowl football game. Rodney and Carol are pictured below with Dean Bresciani, NDSU president.

NDSU Harvest Bowl Honorees from Oliver County, Center, ND are Rodney and Carol Hickle.
Rodney and Carol raise feed grains, hay, cattle and sheep on their ranch near Center. They practice rotational grazing, cross fencing and have an extensive watering system. They are also gem and mineral dealers. They received the Soil Conservation District Grasslands Award, Honorary Chapter FFA Degree, Master Lamb Feeder Award, and Friend of 4-H Award. Rodney served on the North Dakota Association of SCD Board of Directors, Soil and Water Conservation Society, Oliver County SCD and American Farm Bureau Federation Sheep and Goat Advisory Committee. Carol is active in a number of community organizations. She received the Farm Bureau's Honey Bee Award and an appreciation award from the Central Dakota Gem & Mineral Society.
