Nelson County Homemaker Council Scholarship

The Nelson County Homemaker Council is again sponsoring a scholarship in the range of $250 to $500. Applicants must meet the following requirements: They must be a Nelson County resident, a Nelson County Homemaker member, or a family member of a Nelson County Homemaker memeber. Preference will be given to Homemaker Club members who are returning to school. Individual applicants must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and be pursuing higher education. This can be any form of higher education program (i.e. college, technical school, etc.) The deadline for applications in May 1, 2010. Applications are available at the Nelson County Extension Office, 247-2521. Scholarship recipients will be notified on or before August 1 by the Scholarship Committee.
