Control Insects in Grain Bins
Now is the time to clean storage bins using good bin management to prevent potential stored insect problems. Several species of insects, such as confused flour beetle, Indian meal moth, rice weevil, lesser grain borer and red flour beetle, infest stored grains. The damage caused by these insects lowers grain quality. (Confused Flour Beetle photo courtesy Clemson University, USDA Coop. Ext. Slide Series, Bugwood. org.)
