State 4-H Consumer Choice contest was held Tuesday, July 23 at the ND State Fair. Consumer Choices requires youth to make informed decisions on consumer-related classes and then tell the judge their reasons for ranking the classes. This year, 4-H’ers ranked two classes each of binoculars, yogurt and athletic shoes, then gave reasons on one product in each of the divisions they ranked. Competing in the Junior team was Addie Schnabel. He combined with Cavalier and LaMoure counties placing 4th in team competition.. Ellen Schnabel, Elisabeth Dalke and Jen Hulm competed as a Senior team. They received seventh place as a team. Ellen was 14th overall.
