Responsible for supporting livestock producers by providing them with the information and education needed to implement nutrient management practices to reduce surface water contamination, utilize manure nutrients, and successfully operate and maintain livestock manure management systems.

Responsibilities: 60% Research, 40% Extension. Responsible for developing and implementing statewide manure nutrient management education and research at the Carrington Research Extension Center, as well as on farms. Lead P.I. for the North Dakota Discovery Farms.

Expertise Areas: Soil Fertility, Soil Management, Crop-Livestock Integration, Dynamic of Nutrients on Grazed Systems.

Professional Memberships: American Society of Agronomy, Soil Science Society of America, Crop Science Society of America.

Professional Activities: Reviewer for journals in US and Brazil.
