**All varieties failed to reach the R8 reproduction stage (full maturity when 95% of the pods reach their mature brown pod color) before the light frost on September 13 and the killing frost on September 23. This rating however is a rough estimate of maturity and varieties reached partial or physiological maturity before the first frosts occurred. During the cleaning process each plot was given a green seed visual rating as an indicator of maturity. 0-indicates yellow seed, 9-dark green coloring in the sample.
