North Dakota Horizons Communities

Fifteen communities are participating in the Phase III NDSU supported North Dakota Horizons program.  In order to participate, these communities attended an informational session with at least 10 individuals present during the fall of 2008, completed an application and are now fulfilling the requirements needed to be involved.  A demographic profile and map of the Phase III communities is forthcoming.

Twenty-one sites/communities did participate in the Phase II NDSU supported North Dakota Horizons program.  They fulfilled all requirements of the program and during the summer of 2008 received a check for $10,000 to assist in work in their local communities.  A success tabloid can be found here to better understand what these communities accomplished.

These sites/communities range in size from 134 to 1,985.  Some places are working together as one, while in many cases individual communities are involved.  The following sites/communities are involved in the Horizons program from 2006-2008, and by clicking on each community name, you will see a demographic profile of that site (you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the demographic profile).
