What Participants are Saying

  • "I kept track of my receipts the past three months to see if we are saving money by using the shopping techniques I learned in EFNEP. There has been a savings of about $17.25 per month. Thanks for the information. I look forward to more classes."

  • "I really appreciated learning about the importance of calcium for adults. I have started eating more calcium-rich foods."

  • "I have learned about food safety, nutrition and smart shopping. All of these things will benefit my family. I have become more conscious about nutrition and am making wiser food choices. My family is spending less on our food bill, which I am able to use for other bills."

  • "I didn't think my refrigerator was cold enough to keep my family's food safe to eat. EFNEP provided me with a thermometer to check the refrigerator temperature and I learned that it was not working properly. I told the housing authority about it, and they provided us with a a different refrigerator. I am very thankful to EFNEP for teaching me about safe food storage temperatures."
