The Towner County 4-H Achievement Day and Quilt Show was held at the Cando Armory July 8. The event showcased the achievements of 4-H members throughout the county, and in addition to the 4-H exhibits, several beautiful quilts created by local quilters were on display. A homemade pie and ice cream social began at 3 pm, with quilt viewing and people�s choice voting continuing all afternoon. 4-H exhibits were judged and displayed beginning at 4 pm. The lunch stand was chaired by the Young Rider�s 4-H Club of Rocklake, and operated by all Towner County 4-H members and leaders all afternoon. The Awards ceremony was held at 7:30 pm, beginning with the 4-H in Revue. Twenty-six 4-Her�s participated in the Revue by showing an exhibit of their choice to the audience, while Katie W, Eager Beavers club member and North Dakota 4-H Ambassador, read information about the problems, cost, and skills learned by the 4-Her�s. Following the Revue, the trophy and rosette winners were announced by Extension Agent Terry Lykken, assisted by Handy-Thrifty club member Michael L. Trophy sponsors were recognized throughout the day. Trophy and rosette winners in the following categories were:
