Awards Form
The 2004-2005 awards form is included in this mailing. Please complete and send back to the Extension office by October 10. Be sure to fill out a separate Award Application (page 7) for EACH award applied for. Each application should briefly explain the learning and work completed for the specific award being applied for. For example, if a 4Her is applying for a gardening award, page 7 should specify what has been learned and completed in a gardening project. Another page 7 would be filled out for a clothing award, which would specify what has been completed and learned in a clothing project. Please call your 4H leader or the Extension office if you have any questions on how to fill out the awards form. Please also remember these forms require both a leaders and a parents signature before they are turned in. There is a separate trip/camp page which is also enclosed.

Banquet
The Towner County 4H Awards Banquet will be held November 13, 5pm, at the Rocklake School. The menu will be lasagna, garlic toast, salad and bars. We hope to have the EYC participants report on their trip this summer. The banquet is open to all 4H members and their families, leaders, and sponsors. More information on specific duties will be sent later.

Held family enjoys 4-H events and activities!

Enrollment forms
All member and leader enrollment forms for the new year are included in this mailing. Family guides were given to all leaders at the 4-H Council meeting in August. Please complete the forms and send to the Extension office by November 1st, so we can get all members registered and keep our 4-H mailing list updated.
Feeder Pig Contest
You can win a 50 lb feeder pig to raise and show at the Lake Region 4-H Livestock Expo in June! The feeder pig is being donated by Dakota Country Swine of Cando. Two 4-H members who show the best ability to raise a pig to show weight by the end of June 2006 will each be awarded a pig. Showing the pig at the Lake Region 4-H Livestock Expo in Devils Lake in June 2006 is a requirement of the contest. The enclosed application needs to be filled out by October 10. The two pigs will be "awarded" during our Awards Banquet November 13.

4H Week
National 4H week is October 2-8, 2005. The Record Herald will be contacting each county 4H leader for club news. This would be a good opportunity for a club reporter to summarize club activities or write about club plans for the new year. Be sure to include pictures of any 4H events and activities your club has participated in this past year.
