May 8, 2009 - Maximum Impact
Simulcast - Leadership That Inspires
is the title of this year's Maximum
Impact Simulcast. The satellite event
will be held at the Arno Gustin Hall,
University of Mary, 7500 University
Drive in Bismarck. This one day
leadership training program is broadcast
over satellite to over 500 sites
throughout North America. It is a great
event and this year features speakers
such as John Maxwell, Tony Blair, Jack
Nicklaus and Liz Murray. More

North Dakota Horizons will cover the
costs for up to 6 people from a
community to attend (current and alumni
Horizons communities) as well as mileage
for up to 2 vehicles. Please get in

Dakota Memories Heritage Tour- Sept 18,
19 & 20, 2009
Experience the rich history of North
Dakota and take a three-day bus tour
through some of the state's most
treasured sites hosted by Michael M.
Miller, Germans from Russia Heritage
Collection director. The tour will focus
on German-Russian sites in south-central
North Dakota as well as the importance
of heritage tourism in general.
The Dakota Memories Heritage Tour
mission is to organize educational tours
in North Dakota in order to provide
participants with direct cultural
heritage and learning experiences.
The tour group will visiting these
locations: Central Grasslands Research
Center, Streeter; Martin Luther Lutheran
Church Cemetery, Fredonia; Lehr
Tabernacle Campground, Lehr; Wishek; St.
Andrew's Lutheran Church & Cemetery,
Zeeland; St. Mary's Catholic Church &
Cemetery, Hague; Welk Homestead, Saints
Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and the
Schwab Sodhouse, Strasburg; and St.
Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND
Tour registration is limited. The cost
for the tour is $250 per person based on
double-occupancy. If you wish to have
your own room it will be $275 per
person. The cost includes all meals and
lodging. Many of the meals will include
ethnic German-Russian dishes.
The tour will depart from Fargo on
Friday morning. We will allow tour
members to join at Jamestown and
Streeter, as well.
