MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Master Gardener Program:
The Master Gardener program is made up of volunteers that assist the NDSU Extension Service answering horticulture questions. These volunteers have been trained by NDSU Extension to provide research based information. Currently Cass County has 102 Master Gardeners with 58 actively participating.

Junior Master Gardener Program:
The Junior Master Gardener program in Cass County improved the knowledge base of 203 youth ages 4 to 21. Cass County Extension provided training in plant growth and development, soils and water, ecology and environmental horticulture, landscape horticulture, insects and diseases, fruits and nuts, vegetables and herbs, tree care and proper planting. Cass County Extension collaborated with Fargo and West Fargo Public Schools, Head Start, NDSU Childcare Center and Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society.
