Rainfall Observers Needed
Do you keep close track of the rainfall you receive? Would you like a free rain gauge? Would you like to be part of an important group of rainfall observers?
The National Weather Service invites you to be part of the North Dakota Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS).
The National Weather Service will provide you with a 4 inch rain gauge. In return they ask you to report your daily rainfall through the internet.

Leafy Spurge Beetles
The cool spring is delaying the emergence of the flea beetles. We normally collect these beetles when we have accumulated 1200 to 1600 growing degree days. As of last Thursday we had only accumulated about 700 growing degree days. With warm weather in the forecast I hope we can we can start locating and collecting beetles later this week or early next week.
If you have released beetles in previous years please monitor your sites. You may be able to collect from your own releases. If you have a great site please me know. You cannot over collect a site. If you need beetles for a new site and do not have a collectable site of your own please call the office at 377-2927 so we can contact you if we find a collectable site.
We have sweep nets available if you do not have your own.
