NDSU Equestrian Team Members Advance
Three members of North Dakota State University’s Western Equestrian Team have earned a trip to semifinal competition at Cal Poly in Pomona, California, at the end of March. They were among eight members of the team who competed at a post-season regional horse show hosted by the University of Minnesota-Crookston on March 7. To advance in post-season competition, exhibitors must place first or second in their classes.
Those advancing to the semifinal competition are juniors Jenna Benjaminson of Walhalla, ND, and Sara Holman of Glyndon, MN; and freshman Juliann Zach of Rosholt, SD. Benjaminson won first place in novice horsemanship in the Crookston event. Holman placed second in advanced horsemanship. Zach took second in walk trot horsemanship.

Open Horsemanship – Janelle Lanoue, junior, Alexandria, MN, fifth place
Novice Horsemanship – Amanda Grev, junior, Rochester, MN, fifth place; Shannon Voges, junior, Courtland, MN, sixth place
Intermediate Horsemanship – Megan Mueller, freshman, Hillsboro, ND, sixth place; Alyssa Jorgenson, junior, West Fargo, ND, honorable mention
