2011 Midwest ASAS Academic Quadrathlon
Many students, faculty, and staff from the Animal Sciences Department went to Des Moines, IA for the Midwest ASAS ADSA (American Society of Animal Science, American Dairy Science Association) annual meeting. Part of this meeting is the Academic Quadrathlon competition. This student competition is made up of four separate competitions: Written Exam, Lab Practicum, Quiz Bowl, and Oral Presentation.
This year there were 15 teams from the Midwest Region competing. You might say that it is our ‘Big Dance’ in terms of animal science competitions. I’m pleased to report that our NDSU team did exceptionally well. This year’s team is composed of the following students:
Beth Hendrickx, Bowman, ND
Nathan Hayes, Big Lake, MN
