NDSU Manufacturing Extension

Mission Statement

"NDSU Manufacturing Extension

oil

provides outreach, education, and research capability to North Dakota's manufacturing network.  The responsibility of this program lies in enhancing the states manufacturing base through facilitation of the transfer of knowledge and technology to existing and start-up manufacturers."

NDSU’s Manufacturing Extension program was established in May of 2009 to assist ND manufacturers and entrepreneurs in becoming more competitive in domestic and global markets.  This service is an extension of NDSU’s college of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.  Programatically, the program is tied to NDSU’s Center for Community Vitality in Bismarck and the Institute for Business and Industry Development (IBID) out of Fargo.  NDSU's goal was to create a program which would give businesses within the state easier access to the technology and resources within NDSU.  NDSU's Manufacturing Extension was created to tie NDSU to North Dakota's manufacturers and manufacturing resources.  For information regarding what services the NDSU Manufacturing Extension service provides please visit the services page.
