Ripplinger and Maung submit grant
Dr.’s David Ripplinger and Thein Maung have submitted a grant proposal in the amount of $78,298 to USDA, Federal-State Marketing Improvement Program. The title of the grant is: “Energy Beet Market Development”
The objective of the “Energy Beet Biofuel Market Development” Project is to collect and analyze market information on energy beets, varieties of cultivated beet intended for industrial use, and energy beet-based ethanol in order to support the commercialization of a new biofuel pathway. The study will focus on North Dakota, a locus of current sugar beet production and energy beet development activity.
