Nancy Hodur submits grant to ND Asso. of Oil and Gas Producing Counties
Dr. Nancy M. Hodur has submitted a grant in the amount of $43,786 to ND Association of Oil and Gas Producing Counties. The title is: “Estimating Expected Future Student Enrollments in Selected
Public School Districts in Western North Dakota”.
As a result of rapid rates of in-migration, traditional cohort population models underestimate the actual number of residents in western North Dakota. In order to better manage the effects of rapid development in western North Dakota, fact-based information on expected future student enrollments are needed for policymakers and elected officials to develop strategies to mitigate the effects of growth in the petroleum sector on public school districts.
