Nancy Hodur, Dean Bangsund and Kathleen Tweeten submit grant to ND Industrial Commission
Dr. Nancy Hodur, Research Assistant Professor, Agribusiness and Applied Economics Department, along with Dean Bangsund, Research Scientist, and Kathleen Tweeten, Director/Community Economic Development Specialist, CO-PI’s, have submitted a grant proposal in the amount of $216,650 to North Dakota Industrial Commission.
The title of this grant proposal is: “Assessment of the Oil and Gas Industry’s Workforce Characteristics”
The study will entail a comprehensive primary data collection effort to elicit demographic and other pertinent information from workers in the oil and gas industry. A written survey will be used to collect demographic and other data about the oil and gas workforce that will be generalizable to the larger population of oil and gas workforce. The insites gained will facilitate planning and development activities to address current and future demand for infrastructure, housing, and public service.
