Coordinates Ag Communication's planning
and efforts. Advises administrators and
others on communications and technology
issues based on Ag Comm staff input. Carries
out some guideline development, training,
facilitation and programming. For Extension
staff development responsibilities, advises
conference committees, leads new-staff orientation
and works with competency training. Also,
represents North Dakota on the Extension
Disaster Education Network (EDEN) and leads
disaster education efforts.
Provides
overall management of educational materials,
distribution and mailing operations of the
NDSU Distribution Center.
Writes
and edits news and feature stories for release
to the news media, edits educational materials,
and helps market programs and publications
developed under the Vice President for Agriculture
and University Extension.
Writes
news releases and edits publications for
the NDSU Extension Service and North Dakota
Agricultural Experiment Station. Also, does
public relations and marketing work for
the two units.
Designs
and creates posters, banners, tabletop displays;
does laminating; takes orders and gives
price quotes for such work. Also designs
and creates PowerPoint presentation templates.
Designs
and develops educational materials for the
Web and other printed materials.
Designs
and lays out publications, newsletters,
brochures, posters and other materials once
they've gone through the editing process;
designs logos; scans photos and slides to
digital images; provides training on design
topics: provides consulting on scanning
and PDF questions; prepares charts, graphs
and diagrams for journal articles.
Does
design and layout for Ag and the university,
including stationery, cards, brochures,
forms, publications, questionnaires and
many other printed materials. Also serves
as telephone administrator for the department. |
Chris Anderson, Press
Operator
Chris Anderson joined Ag Communication in 2006. A native of Moorhead, Minn., he received a bachelor of science in industrial illustration from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Prior to joining NDSU, he worked in sales, service and tech support for supplies and equipment for the printing industry since college. Chris spends most of his spare time in his shop tinkering with old tractors, cars and trucks, along with some woodworking and welding projects. And sometimes he even finds time to fish. |
David Dynes joined Ag Communication in 1992. He is a native of Dickinson, N.D., and a graduate of North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, in graphic arts technology. David previously worked for Group Four Graphics in Minneapolis and Diericks Printing Co., Moorhead. In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his kids and their activities, playing basketball during the winter, and riding bike and playing golf in the summer. He and his wife, Wendy, have two sons, Keaton and Dawson. |

Terri Nelson joined Ag Communication in 1992 and is a native of Fargo. Prior to joining NDSU, she worked at convenience and grocery stores, and did janitorial work while living in South Carolina. In Terri's spare time, she's been a volunteer for Girl Scouts for 16 years. Her most enjoyable time is spent with her three grandchildren. Terri adds, "I enjoy being a part of Ag Communication." |
Prints
various documents, such as forms, business
cards, stationery, newsletters and whatever
else is deemed necessary for the university
and out-state Extension offices.
Operates
ABDick 9870 and 9840 presses, Itek DPM2000
digital camera and Itek 617 camera. Prints
one- or two-color fliers, booklets, stationery.
Monte
Kelly joined Ag Communication in 1972.
Collates
all publications and newsletters that come
into the Print Shop. Cuts business cards
and enclosures and does all of the folding
jobs. Makes sure all invoices are entered
into the database and keeps a copy of who
signs for a job once it is delivered.
Software Development

Roger Egeberg, Computer Programmer Administers Internet servers and develops software applications for agriculture at NDSU. Roger Egeberg joined Ag Communication in 1983. A native of Argusville, N.D., Roger received a bachelor of science in mathematics education from NDSU. He served on active duty with the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1982 at Fort Riley, Kan. |

Specialist Bruce Sundeen joined Ag Communication in 1997. He is a native of Grand Forks, N.D., and received a bachelor of arts in speech communication from the University of North Dakota. Bruce previously was employed at KVLY Television for 10 years and WDAZ Television for three years. |
