Goals

Promote women in agriculture through friendship, scholarship, leadership and service

Develop excellence in women pursuing careers in agriculture

Major Activities

Social activities such as Homecoming, annual Christmas party, Founder’s Day banquet and exchanges with other fraternities and sororities

Leadership and professional development activities such as Ag Career Fair, Living Ag Classroom, speakers from industry and career workshops

Philanthropic events such as The Big Event, a campus-wide service activity

Fundraising events, including an annual bake sale

Membership Requirements

Open to women who have a sincere interest in agriculture or are enrolled in an agriculture major, maintain a GPA of 2.25 or higher and are members of at least one other organization

How to Join

Attend recruitment activities (usually second or third week of each semester; publicized around campus), and fulfill other membership requirements; contact an adviser, officer or member (email addresses can be found on the NDSU Sigma Alpha Web site)
