Wimba Classroom Training

Wimba Classroom is a live, virtual classroom environment with features

that include audio, video, application sharing and content display.

It can be as simple as person to person audio and video interaction, or it can used for large group meetings with powerpoints.  It's an easy way to share a powerpoint or to show someone how to navigate a website.  If you have a group that seems to struggle finding time to meet at one location, try meeting in Wimba Classroom where everyone can sit at their own desk.  Or, if you and a colleague in another town need to get together to work on a powerpoint or other document, meet up in a Wimba Classroom and save the drive time.

Please e-mail Scott Swanson ( s.swanson@ndsu.edu ) if you would be interested in participating in a Wimba Classroom training session.  If there is enough interest there will be multiple sessions both on-line, as well as face to face on campus.  Also, include in the e-mail your level of knowledge with Wimba so sessions can be set up for beginners (Wimba Classroom Participants) and those ready for the next step (Wimba Classroom Presenters).

E-mails will be sent out later with dates and times of training sessions.  If the times that are picked will not work for someone, they can always call me to set up a Wimba Classroom session one-on-one.

Also, if these sessions don't work for you, there will be Wimba Classroom training held during break out sessions at Spring Conference.
