This session will use Wimba webconferencing (computer and internet connection required).

Required Equipment:

This class utilizes the Wimba web conferencing tool. Please go to http://www.ag.ndsu.edu/wimba/quick_reference.html in advance of this class to set up your computer for the session.

  • Computer with internet connection
  • Headset microphone

To Join the Session:

  • Open your Internet browser. Recommended browsers:
    • Microsoft Windows users - Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari
    • Macintosh users - Safari or Firefox
  • Go to http://ndivnlc.wimba.com/ and click on "Participant Login."  Enter NDSU_Ag (case sensitive) as the Room ID and your name.
If you have not used Wimba on your computer before, or if it has been a month since your last Wimba login, you will want to run the setup wizard. Go to http://ndivnlc.wimba.com/ , click on the Setup Wizard on the right side of the screen, and follow the instructions.
  • Once you are logged in, select "NDSU Ag Web Tech" (6th from the top) and you will enter the room where you can resize any of the windows or move the video window around. The video will start automatically.
  • You can use your headset microphone to join the conversation or type in the text chat box in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, and press Enter.
  • If you are having trouble with sound while logged into the room, click on the blue telephone icon on the bottom part of the screen.  A window will pop up with a telephone number and PIN number for you to call.
