Welcome to Oliver County, located in west central North Dakota. Oliver County has beautiful scenery with the rolling hills and the scenic Missouri River that offers great fishing and hunting. Oliver County is proud of our agricultural roots with a strong background in farming and ranching. The county also features wind tower farming, coal mining, a power plant, golf course and a state park along with many independent businesses.
NDSU Extension Service in Oliver County gives local residents easy access to the resources and expertise of the North Dakota State University. Through educational programs, publications, and events, extension agents deliver unbiased, research-based information to our citizens. We can answer your questions on a wide array of topics. Equipment Available
The Oliver County Extension office has equipment available to check out or rent. Available at our office is a Soil Probe (soil analysis), Hay Probe (hay quality analysis), Cattle Scale, Moisture Meter (check moisture present after experiencing water damage), infra red thermometer (check heat loss around doors and windows).
